Hi, I'm Ray!

I am a Charleston-based portrait photographer with almost a decade of experience specializing in headshots, personal branding, couples, engagements, and families.  With a background in acting and years spent both in front of and behind the camera, I bring a strong understanding of posing, expression, movement, and what it takes to feel comfortable being photographed.


My work is known for its polished, warm, and cinematic quality while still feeling natural and personal.  Whether I'm photographing an actor updating their headshots, a business owner building their brand, or a couple documenting an important chapter of their love story, my focus is on creating images that feel elevated without feeling stiff and overly posed.


I am based in beautiful downtown Charleston, South Carolina, but I photograph clients all throughout the Lowcountry and am available for select travel.

My approach

 

I know being in front of the camera doesn’t come naturally to everyone, so my approach is relaxed, encouraging, and never overly stiff.  I’ll guide you through posing, expressions, and movement so you always know what to do, while still leaving room for the genuine, unplanned moments that make a photo feel authentic.


Whether we’re creating polished headshots, branding images, or something more intimate and romantic, my goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and completely yourself in front of the camera.  I want this to be a FUN experience for you!
